Year 6 Transition
We are really looking forward to welcoming our new year 7 cohort to Ashley High School in September.
These are very strange times and we recognise that the transition to secondary school can be even more difficult as a result of the rules and procedures that are currently in place around Covid.
In order to try and address this we have included the 'Year 6 Transition' tab. We will be sharing additional information for our new students that is not already on the school website in the hope that we can make your transition as smooth and easy as possible. So far we have included a copy of the Transition Booklet and some Transition PowerPoint presentations. We will be adding information between now and September, including information on the new year 7 curriculum, so keep checking in to have a look. The school website itself includes a wealth of photographs and information about the school so be sure to check it out.
As schools begin to open and some of the lockdown measures are eased we will be able to allow new students to visit the school and have a look around, and are currently planning 2 transition days for July.
I will be contacting parents in the near future to introduce myself and discuss your child's transition further, but, in the meantime, if you have any questions feel free to call me on 0151 424 4892.
I look forward to speaking to you all indivdually via telephone and to meeting you in person in the near future.
