Headteacher's Latest Updates COVID -19
LATERAL FLOW TESTING ON SITE
We are now fully approved to carry out on site Lateral Flow Testing for all staff and pupils (with parental consent). If you wish your child to be tested in school, you MUST have completed a consent form which was posted out last week. If you need another copy, you can download the form below. Please return it to school as soon as possible as your child will not be able to be tested without it.
All staff and pupils are now being offered a lateral flow test 2X per week. Parents will receive results by text within 30 minutes of the test being administered to their child. Pupil testing will take place on Mondays and Thursdays. **PLEASE NOTE** All students will be completing the swabs themselves, under the guidance of staff. Staff will not be administering the swab tests to pupils but will be there to support and process the results.
In the case of a positive result, the same steps will be taken as before. The child will be placed in the quarantine room until they can be collected and then will need to isolate for 10 days. This will also apply to all members of their household. Close contacts will be identified in school and those identified will also have to self-isolate for 10 days. A confirmatory PCR test is now not required in schools and self-isolation is the direct result of a positive case.
Please download the document below to see photos of the Testing Room in school.
PUPILS RETURNING TO SCHOOL
If you want your child to return to school for face to face teaching, this must be requested via the school office. A place must be offered and confirmed before you send your child into school and you must contact transport if this applies.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
